Dr. Dalton is a board certified dermatologist and has been in private
practice with Deerfield Dermatology Associates, Ltd. since 2001. He is
interested in general adult and pediatric dermatology including
disorders of the skin, hair and nails with a special emphasis on skin
cancer and cutaneous surgery. He is an active member of the American
Academy of Dermatology and the Chicago Dermatological Society. He
serves as an attending physician and maintains professional staff
privileges at the NorthShore University HealthSystem including Highland
Park, Glenbrook and Evanston Hospitals.
Dr. Dalton was raised in
Ames, Iowa and attended Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota
(1989-1993) where he received a double major in Chemistry and
Biological Sciences. He received the Merck Award in Chemistry in 1993
and graduated with Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude honors. He
received his M.D. degree from the University of South Florida College
of Medicine in Tampa, Florida (1993-1997) and was elected to the Alpha
Omega Alpha national medical honor society. He was awarded the Carol M.
Petrucelli, MD Memorial outstanding student award from the USF
Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and received the
McGraw-Hill Merit Award from the USF College of Medicine. He completed
an internal medicine internship at Northwestern University Evanston
Hospital, Evanston, Illinois (1997-1998) and dermatology residency at
the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois
(1998-2001), serving as Chief Resident from 2000-2001.
In his
spare time, he enjoys long-distance running (marathon and
ultra-marathons), golf, fishing, cooking and spending time with his
wife and family.
